Leaks: What to do if you find a leak

If you have a leak on your supply pipe, it is your responsibility (if you are the property owner) to ensure that the leak is repaired promptly.

We will help
As part of our commitment to reducing leakage throughout our supply area, we will help you tackle supply pipe leaks in the following way:
External leaks
If you are a domestic customer whose pipes do not exceed 25 mm external diameter (most pipes to homes are 15mm in diameter) then we will repair any leaks on your external pipes free. Find out about our Free Supply Pipe Repair / Replacement Scheme.
Internal leaks
If you have a leak on a pipe inside your home, or running directly under your home, you will need to call in a plumber to undertake the repair.
If there is any damage caused by leaks we advise you to contact your insurers as soon as possible.
