1. Our Supply Pipe Repair
Scheme
Having identified and located your leak, and providing
that it is practical to do so, we will carry out
a repair free of charge. If a pipe cannot be repaired,
perhaps because it is seriously corroded, we will
offer to replace the pipe under our subsidised Replacement
Scheme (Subject to our terms and conditions). (See
below for more info). |
 |
2.
Our Supply Pipe Replacement Scheme
If, in our view, the pipe is badly corroded, damaged
beyond repair or is impractical to repair, we will
offer to replace it under our replacement scheme
(Subject to our terms and conditions). We will replace
pipes up to 25 metres in length free. If the pipe,
or section of pipe, that needs to be replaced is
longer than 25 metres we will ask you to make a
contribution towards the additional cost. |

3. Excavating to make
repairs or replacement
The repair work to your supply pipe may mean we
have to dig up an area of your driveway, garden
or path. If we have to do this, we will re-fill
the excavation(s) with the material taken out. Although
this area will be left in a safe condition without
obstructions to vehicular or foot traffic, we are
not in a position to reinstate to the original standard.
For example, if you have a tarmac or concrete driveway,
we suggest you obtain quotes from reputable contractors
to carry out the permanent reinstatement. |

4.
Reclaiming any expenses
You may be able to claim on your household insurance
for any costs incurred. Contact your insurers or
check the details of your policy. |
