Unmetered water bills
are sent out annually during March for the forthcoming
year commencing 1 April. The left hand side of
the bill shows your property reference number,
your name and the address of the property being
charged. The charges due are split between standing
charges, and charges based upon the rateable value
of the property.
If you prefer to
pay in two equal half yearly instalments you should
use the payment counterfoils to the right hand side
of your bill. Other payment options are listed here.
If you move into a property between
April and September the amount shown on the counterfoil
as due on 1st April covers the period from the date
of occupation to 30th September and payment is due
immediately. Similarly, if you move into a property
between October and March the amount shown on the
counterfoil from the date of occupation to 31 March
is also due immediately.

Hosepipe License
If you are not on a meter and wish to use a hosepipe, you must pay the license fee in full in addition to the rateable value charge, or have a meter fitted. The licence fee covers the full year commencing 1 April. If you choose to have a meter fitted part way through the year for which a hosepipe licence has been purchased, a refund will be calculated on a pro-rata basis from the date of meter installation. If you have previously notified us that you wish to use a hosepipe, the annual charge of £34.50 will automatically be added to your account. Hosepipe licences are not issued but payment of the licence fee will be noted on the Company's records.
Swimming pool
If you have a swimming pool with a capacity of greater than 10,000 litres, the Company requires you to have a meter fitted. Remember: using unlicensed water could lead to prosecution.

Options for paying your
water bill
You
may pay your unmeasured bill in full, by two half
yearly instalments, up to ten consecutive monthly
instalments from May to February, or by fortnightly
or weekly instalments.
Many people find it more convenient
to pay by bank direct debit. If you do not have a bank
account, or suitable building society account, and you
still wish to pay by instalments please contact us and
we will send you a set of payment slips.
If you paid your bill by instalments last year, using
direct debit or instalment slips, we have assumed you
wish this arrangement to continue. Please let us know
if this is not the case. Failure to pay instalments on
their due dates may result in the arrangement being cancelled
and the full outstanding balance becoming due immediately.
Please call us to discuss any payment difficulties
at the earliest opportunity.
