Where to pay your water bill

The following payment facilities are available to customers:

By Bank Direct Debit
By Bank Standing Order
At Barclays Bank
By Post
On-line Banking via Your Own Bank
At any other Bank
At a Post Office
Cash Office
By Debit or Credit Card
Other
Direct Debit
Customers with bank accounts can pay their water bill by direct debit on either the 1st day of the month, or the 15th day of the month.
Customers on unmeasured tariff can pay by 10 direct debit instalments; customers on measured tariff can pay over 12 instalments.
If you do not already pay by direct debit you will need to contact us to arrange this.

By Bank Standing Order
Customers with bank accounts, may, with the Company's prior agreement in writing, arrange to pay their water bill by bank standing order using any of the payment options:

At Barclays Bank
Customers may pay their bills free of charge at any branch of Barclays Bank. Barclays Banks are located in Manningtree, Frinton on Sea, Brightlingsea, Dovercourt, Great Clacton and Clacton on Sea.

On-line via Your Own Bank
Water bills may be paid on-line if your bank/building society has a secure on-line payment facility. The bank details are:

At any other Bank
Water bills may be paid at banks and some building societies whether the customer has an account or not. If you have an account with the bank you choose, the service is normally provided free. If not, you will be asked to pay the bank's transaction fee.

At a Post Office
By Transcash: Customers may pay a water bill at a post office although you will be asked to pay a transaction fee
By Alliance and Leicester Giro Account: Free of charge if you quote your Alliance & Leicester Giro Account number in the box on the top right hand corner of the credit slip and place the slip and your payment in the transfer envelope provided.

Cash Office
Customers may pay a water bill at the Company's office in Mill Hill, Manningtree during Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

By Debit or Credit Card
Customers may pay by debit card directly from their bank account or by credit card. This method of payment is not available to customers who pay their account by budget instalments. Minimum payment is £25. Customers who choose to pay by this method should telephone 01206 399333 with their property reference (as quoted on their bill) and have their card details to hand. Telephone lines are open 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday. We do accept Electron, Solo on the first day of each month, but do not accept American Express.

Customers are reminded that cheques require four working days to clear. Cash or cheque payments made at banks, Co-op Handybank stores or Post Office can take up to 10 working days to reach your account with us.
